A person with disability is destined for a life of perpetual dependency. For the poor, this burden is extreme. A disabled person can be a social, financial, mental and physical liability to their families. Most of these disabled individuals are very poor and cannot afford to meet even daily living necessities, because of this people have to face severe hardships and depend on others for their living needs. Access to sufficient nutritious food is often a matter of concern to their families. Disabled people from poor families are unable obtain appropriate nutritional food. To improve the health and well-being of these disabled individuals, CERDS responded by initiating the supply of nutritional and household necessities to these families and also provides bathing and washing soaps for maintaining personal hygiene. To facilitate this, CERDS has procured a list of those families with disabled members who have requested nutritional and basic household provision assistance. This list is constantly updated.
